While I'm Waiting

Musical Muse:
"While I'm Waiting" By John Waller

I keep listening to this over and over...hoping and trusting in God.

Praying and holding on to this with every fiber of my being...

"Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world"- Psalm 46:10

 and

"Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:20 & 21

Because He knows...and I just have to do my part.

My Pocket of Sunshine

Oh ! How I've needed this! God Knows... I love how the Lord sends us little reminders like these to keep our head up and remind us that He is in control of everything and will always have our back.  This is another one of the many work emails (Email is below) that I get throughout the day.

I love getting these :) They are like little pockets of sunshine from God to make me smile again when all I see is darkness.  He is the light that peeks through the clouds of life.  Much like these pictures that I took on the way to work the other day.  They really made me smile and I knew that it was going to be a good day.  God Bless You!!! :) Enjoy!

Addressing Matters From A Spiritual Perspective
Rev. Sinclair Grey III, M.Div.
Working with people isn't easy. I don't care who you are or what you do, the truth of the matter is that people can get on your nerves and cause you to lose your mind. I've come to discover there are some people in this world whose job is to cause you to act up and act out contrary to who God called you to be. Falling into their trap allows you to play their game and next thing you know, you're messed up, cracked up, and tripping on the dumbest things. Why? Because you've allowed the negative energy of a few people dictate as well as determine your behavior toward others. As my mentor would say, 'don't give people control over who you are and whose you are.'

In this life, I want you to know how you react to people will determine how far you'll go in life. Let me say that again. When people can influence you to act a fool, you need to check who's in control of your emotional well-being. The more you allow others to determine your happiness and/or worth, the more power they have over you. On the other hand, when you learn how to react to people, you'll have the upper hand in the situation. Simply put - when you remain in control, you'll keep yourself focused and committed to doing what God has called you to do.

In this spiritual journey, you need to know that God expects all of His children to love one another. That's right; you've got to exhibit love to those who can't stand you and are jealous of you. In a real sense, you've got to have the Spirit of God that's on the inside continuously manifesting itself on the outside. Failure to do so will you keep you from experiencing all that God has for you. With God on the inside, you can handle anything on the outside. Just remember, you have the victory and no demon in hell can mess you up. The enemy can try to destroy you with people, but he's already defeated. When you understand the battle, you'll know how to fight it.

In writing to the people of Ephesus , the apostle Paul penned these words, "Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Please don't miss this.. When people are tripping on you, understand it's not the person, but the spirit in the person. (Oops, I said something) To deal with a spiritual problem, you need a spiritual solution. You can't address a spiritual issue with a fleshly solution. It won't work. That's my word for you. The next time you have to deal with someone who's trying to get on your nerves, look at it from a spiritual perspective and address it from that arena. Allow God to order your steps and everything will work out fine.

Psalm 40

I really wasn't planning on blogging today but the Lord had something else in mind.  It's funny because I woke up today the lyric from the song by Hillsong "Jesus the lover of My soul"(Listen Here)...I kept singing the part that says ''Jesus, the Lover of my soul, Jesus I will never let you go...you've taken me fromt the miry clay and set my feet upon the rock..."  I really didn't think much of it as I, more often than not, wake up with a song in my head.  (I know I've said it before but I really do feel sometimes that my brain is a juke box that just won't turn off...lol.) Anyways...lately I've been spending some time in the book of Psalms.  I've been feeling really encouraged in my walk with the Lord as I read the different triumphs and struggles that King David had in his walk with the Lord as he trusted in the Lord and reminded me to continue do so as well.  Even when it seems impossible.  I came across Psalm 40 this morning and I couldn't help but laugh because I could see that what I was reading was clearly greatly influemtial in the writing of the song that I had stuck in my head! The Lord put it in my heart as a reminder of the promises He's given me.  All I need do it is to wait patiently and trust in him.

"I waited patiently for the LORD;And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD."- Psalms 40:1-3

Read the whole chapter :) It's an absolutely beautiful piece of writing.  You can see how king David felt even with the powerful status that he had as king of Isreal.  He gives ALL the praise to the Lord for everything that he has and everything that the Lord has done for him and Everything that the Lord will do....think about it...evertyhing that the Lord will do...wow. Another reminder that the best is yet to come! How great is it to have that kind of faith in the Lord. To know and believe that He will take care of us regardless of what we do or comes our way... He is the absolute lover of our soul, our saviour, and precious friend.

I called, You Answered and came to my Rescue!

Musical Muse: Hillsong United - Came To My Rescue

I thought this song would be fitting since my last post was about calling on God.

Heavenly Hotline :)

I received these emergency "phone numbers"in an email a while back and thought it was super neat!  I wanted to share it with you all as it has greatly blessed my walk with the Lord.  You can even print it out and keep it in your wallet or bible as a quick reference if you want :)
I wholeheartedly believe the Lord gave us his word to help us navigate this life we're in and we are to call to Him and He will ALWAYS come to our rescue and I speak from experience when I say that God hears our prayers, even when we think He doesn't.

I Need You More. More than words can say...

Musical Muse: "I Need You More'' -Kim Walker

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. This is definitely one of my top five worship songs.  It's so simple, yet is so powerful.  We sang this song at church a couple weeks back and the Lord moved in an AMAZING way!  His presence was so overwhelming.  It was just so beautiful and raw and...real.  I wanted to stay there forever and just delight in it.  The Lords presence really is LIFE to me. Everyday that passes I need Him more than I did the day before because relying on His will rather than trying to control my own requires Him…

Kim Walker - I Need You More

I need You more
More than yesterday

I need You Lord
More than words can say
I need You more
Than ever before
I need You Lord
I need You Lord

More than the air I breathe
More than the song I sing
More than the next heartbeat
More than anything
And Lord as time goes by
I'll be by Your side
Cause I never want to go back
To my old life

(12x)

We give You the highest praise

All our praise
All our love
Our adoration God
We give You all
We give You All

Building Bridges

Bible Study Tuesdays: Galatians 5:22

Chick Chat Under The Stars Edition!!
This was a girls only bible study that my friend asked me to lead.  I was kind freaking out because I had never done anything like that.  Even though I was scared I accepted the challenge as I had no concrete reason for saying no.  I thought it would be nice to have a picnic under the night stars at a park and see where God leads us.  The bible study was awesome.  Like I said before, I was really nervous as I had never done anything like that but now that it's done, I'm REALLY glad that I did.  Just the preparation alone was well worth it as it made me draw nearer to the Lord.  And that is always a REALLY good thing.  I made some sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries just to give the girls something to munch at while I talked.  That's something I always do when I teach Sunday school.  It makes me feel more relaxed because I know that people with full belly's are usually happier and more attentive...lol :D.  I was going to take pictures but in my nervousness I forgot.  But luckily my friend took a few photos so I will ask her to send me copies.  So, I will update the post when I get them.  All the praise be to God for it turning out so well and He even gave us a shooting star! How awesome is that?! Hope it blesses your heart as much as it did mine. :)

I got this idea from a commercial I heard on the radio about a girl who is riding in a train with seventy other people and how no one is looking at each other and how all she wants is for someone smile at her. That really stood out to me and got me thinking. Am I walking around with spiritual blinders on? I'm I so in my own world that I don’t even notice other people in the room? Am I so in my own world that I don’t take the time to acknowledge someone? I felt that it would be something good to talk about but I wasn't sure how I would go about doing it so I kept it in prayer.

Conformation of topic:

I kept thinking about it and started to think can I reach out more, can I do more to convey the love of Christ? I was preparing my coffee like I do most mornings at work and I normally use two packets of Splenda but that day I felt like using three. No particular reason I just felt that I might need three that day. Little did I know how God was even using a little Splenda packets to speak to me. When I laid them down on my desk about to use them. They were all flipped over to the side that contained a little text of “life’s little wisdoms”. In a nut shell they were in sequential order saying that we should sprinkle our inner sweetness around.

<<<---These are the three Splenda packets :)

But then I started to think…what is sweetness and how can I pass this around?

So enter the fruit of the spirit…

"GALATIANS 5:22 BUT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS Love, Joy, Longsuffering, KINDNESS, Goodness, GENTLENESS, and Faithfulness…"

Now…all the fruits are important and essential. (God wouldn’t list them if they weren’t) but two of them stood out to me: Kindness and Gentleness.

GOD DESIRES US TO BE KIND AND GENTLE (MORE CHRIST LIKE)

A. WHAT IS GENTLENESS, and KINDNESS?
1. Humility and Humbleness before God
2. Putting others before ourselves
3. Meekness and Gentleness, Christ like

B. WHAT IS A CHRIST LIKE PERSONALITY?
1. Not selfish but selfless
2. It’s outward towards others
3. It’s having a spirit of kindness and LOVE

As this LOVE is demonstrated in 1 CORINTHIANS 13: 4-6 :"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth."

and most importantly...

The Love that is spoken of in 1 John 4:8: "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

C. WHAT DOES IT ACCOMPLISH?
1. Lets people feel your God given LOVE, (which in turn brings you more joy.)
2. It lets people see “Jesus in you"

D. WHY SHOULD WE SPREAD THIS GOD GIVEN LOVE?
1. Simply put God desires for us to be kind and loving.
2. We are to show love to other as He showed love to us.

We can see this clearly in 1 JOHN 4:9-11: "In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another"

So, just as we see that God desires for us to be more filled with the spirit…
He also desires for us to PRACTICE using those said fruits of Kindness and Gentleness, Etc.

We can see this stated in EPHESIANS 4:32: "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

and

EPHESIANS 5: 1& 2:"Therefore be imitators of God as dear children"

The key word here is PRACTICE. We all know that we will never (in this life) be perfect but the Lord desires for us to try. The beauty is in the attempt.

1. Spirit filled believers are to act very kind and loving.
2. They try not to act out with bad attitudes
3. Spirit filled believers are tenderhearted.
4. Spirit filled believers forgive others with all the gentleness their heart posses.
5. They are to reach out to others.

How can I put this into use in my own life?

Think about how you feel when someone reaches out to you and just smiles or just says an encouraging word. Just being there can mean the world to someone. And we can share the love the God has shown us to someone else by simply giving them the time of day. You give your time, your love, your effort, you give them what was so freely given to you. You never know how much someone truly appreciates you. (and not to say that you should do it for recognition but we should do it because we should share the love that God has put in us) You never know (and might not ever know) how you could impact someone’s life in a way or to a depth that you never thought was possible or could make a difference in.

My Social Experiment

So with all of this in mind I came up with a little social experiment. I got an idea that I would smile and say hello to every single person that I came across. I figured…why not? It’s something little that doesn’t take very much effort and might just make someone’s day. I did it with the radio commercial in mind. I went about my day and of course I got a lot of weird looks…lol, but I also received some feedback. Some people looked genuinely happy to say good morning or hello. That made me feel good of course but as time went on in my day that ‘’good’’ feeling started to diminish. You could say the “why is this crazy girl talking to me?” looks out numbered the good looks. So I got discouraged and just said “forget it. No one cares.”. But of course God thinks otherwise. So I get up to go to lunch. I’m walking down the hall way at work and see a lady I have never seen before. She’s still kind of far away so I haven’t said anything to her. As her and I start to get closer to each other (she was walking in the opposite direction of me) I made the decision to deliberately not say hello (just out of sheer stubbornness because I had let my feelings get in the way. I convinced myself that “no one cared”) Well it turns out that the Lord used her. She went out of her way to say hello to me and even stopped and turned to me to talk to me. I of course said a surprised hello and instantly felt the Holy Spirit Minister to me and say “you see how people do notice and how you should say hi”. How are you going to convey my love to someone (stranger) if you don’t even try? I felt so guilty after that and decided that I should try not based on my own “feelings” but because the Lord desires me to and because it’s what Christ would have done.

Below are two examples of how the simple act of reaching out to someone to show them Goodness and kindness can make a world of difference.

EXAMPLE ONE: A friend of mine (at the beginning of his walk with the Lord before he gave his life to God) had been visiting different churches and nothing really spoke to him. So just like any other church he decided to go for a visit at another church (Let’s call it God’s Church) so he stopped at God’s Church just as he ad visited all the other’s before. But something happened that touched his heart that made him feel welcomed and noticed. Someone reached out to him and said hello and smiled and the warmth that he felt was what made him decide to stay at church and ultimately give his life to God. The point is not that he stayed because of what church it was but because a brother in Christ showed him Christ like love. We can see that just one smile and hello can make a world of difference.

EXAMPLE TWO: On the night of August 16, 2008 I got into a huge argument over the phone with my husband at the time. I don’t remember what the fight was about but the topic is not important. That day was my friend’s birthday. She had come over my house to get ready for a 70’s themed birthday party that was being thrown for her. So like I said we were both getting ready at my house when she witnessed the whole argument first hand. I was so upset after the argument that I started to cry. You know that place of despair, of pain, of darkness, of crying that no one sees except for you? Well that’s where I went after that fight. I have never really asked her to this day how she felt that night. I’m sure she felt uncomfortable or whatever but she still decided to reach out to me and say hey let’s sing a song of praise to God right now. At the time it seemed kind of crazy and she said I think we should do it even though I know it sounds crazy or stupid. But yet what stood out and still stands out to me to this day is that even with what I believe were feelings of
“this is stupid” and “she’s gonna think I’m crazy” or whatever else she probably felt she acted against those. She found the God given courage to do something like that to reach out to a friend in need. And I’m not gonna lie when she came to where I was and said what she said I thought it was super random. But little did I know at the time how much power that had. She came out smiling (I don’t think she realized it) and she had this glow about her and obviously I know where that comes from now but at that moment I just didn’t get it. I was just in total shock and even thought I felt crazy. I took her advice, because I figured I had nothing to lose. So we sang ( I honestly don’t remember what song it was) and I pushed through it and offered that sacrifice to God and I felt so much better after that. All because she heeded to the Holy spirit and smiled and reached out me even though she probably felt other wise or whatever.

Exhortation
So I challenge you to create some sort of a little social experiment of your own or you can try the same one I did and see what happens. Think about how we can convey through our kindness the love of Jesus. It’s something that we can do that doesn’t cost anything and is not that complicated. Through my experiment I was reminded of the power of a smile and how everyone has their own battles to fight everyday. Maybe somehow we can create a little experiment in all of us to smile and/or reach out to at least one more person in our daily walk and just maybe we might make someone’s day and be that bridge that Jesus uses to bring them back.

OH, How HE LOVES US!!!

Musical Muse - Kim Walker (Jesus Culture)
"How He Loves Us"

I absolutely LOVE this song. I cry everytime I hear it. It's just one of those songs for me. It just never ceases to amazing me HOW much the Lord LOVES us. How His love for us is like nothing else in the world. How he wants to have a realationship with us, inspite of our shortcomings But most of all is how once we encounter the love of God...truley encounter HIM...WE ARE NEVER THE SAME! Hope you enjoy! Godbless!

How He loves us - Lyrics

He is jealous for me
Love's like a hurricane,
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
and I realize just how beautiful You are and how great your affections are for me.

Oh, how He loves us so
Oh, how He loves us
How He loves us so.
(x2)

Yeah, He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves.
(x2)

We are His portion and
He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking
So heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
and my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way...

He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
OH, how He loves
(x2)

Yeah, He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves.

Yeah, He loves us
He loves us
He loves us
He loves.

Yeah, He loves us
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves

He loves us,
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves

Awaken the Hearts

Bible Study Tuesdays: 1 Kings: 19

This is a study I went to a few weeks ago with a few of my friends from church. My friend Lanai headed the study (and did an awesome job I might add ;D) It was about the story of Elijah in the book of 1Kings in the old testament in chapter 19. As we start to delve into this study we see that a man named Ahab tells Jezebel all that Elijah had done. (Just in the previous chapter Elijah made fire fall down from the sky and showed that his God was greater). As we continue to read we now see that Elijah is scared in chapter 19. Why? He had just seen the glory of God, yet here he was shaking in his sandals because some women (Jezebel) threatened his life. In his fear he journeyed into the wilderness and even prayed to God asking to take his life! For he didn't feel worthy enough to carry out God's plan (as shown at the end of verse four ''enough! Take my life; for I am no better than my father!''

{That stood out to me because I also have seen the Glory of God (No, not fire from the sky but in other more intimate ways) but yet just that same morning of the bible study I had prayed the almost same prayer! I was yelling at God telling him "enough! I can't do this anymore!" I was tired of the everyday struggle and grind of life and wanted to rest. What I should of said was more along the lines of ‘’I don’t want to do this anymore!” I’m not trying to sound morbid here but for me and many other Christians there is nothing greater than to go home to be with God. There’s no greater hope than the hope we have in the Lord. (Psalms 130:5).

So going to back to how Elijah had just seen the glory of God in his life (Chapter 18), yet here he was running and whining to God. Much like how I did the morning of the bible study. As humans (In our weakness) we get tired and whine to God about how bad we have it....like he needs any help..ha! We tend to focus on all that we ‘’think’’ we’re missing instead of focusing on all that we have. We tend to notice the half empty cup as opposed to it half full. This is not to say that we should not come to him when we are scared, or tired, or whatever the case me be. That's not what I'm saying. What I am saying is that we should go to God with our needs, and wants, our fears, our joy, our everything and be sensitive to what he tells us when we do.  Much like how we see in verse five. We see that Elijah had fallen asleep under a tree and the Lord sent an angel to wake him up and said "Arise and Eat'' and when he woke he saw that there was a baked cake and a drink. He ate it as the angel had advised but then fell asleep again.

Now, if we think about this; symbolically we can see this as our walk with God. We "eat" and fill ourselves with the word of God but if we're not careful we can fall asleep and don't continue to walk on our journey with God. When ''fall sleep'', we tend to stay in the same place.  Now why is this something that happens? Most of us think that Lack of intimacy can lead us here (which it can) but this is not always the case. Much like how it happened to Elijah in verse four. We can see that he is intimate with God yet he ''eats'' and then falls asleep.

What can cause us to "Fall asleep"?

There are several things that can cause us to ‘’fall asleep’’. Lanai pointed something out that God had reveled to her and that was that Elijah was depressed. When I read it fear stood out to me but not depression. It wasn’t until I reread it that both of those things then stood out! You can see that he was asking God to take his life! He could take it no longer. How sad, or tired, or weary, OR SLEEPY must a person be to ask God to do this? In my personal experience…very!
(I’m coming to my point I promise…so stay with me people  first let’s take a look at what Passion and Apathy are)

The definition of Passion is: Any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate. A strong or extravagate fondness, enthusiasm or desire for anything, an outburst of strong emotion, fervor, zeal, ardor.
The definition of Apathy is: A state of indifference, or suppression of emotions, such as concern, excitement, or motivation.

As you can see Apathy is the Opposite if Passion. When we get to a ‘’sleepy’’ or tired state in our walk with the Lord we have to analyze and see if we’ve become apathetic in spiritual life. In other words we have to step back and look to see if we’ve become indifferent or even comfortable with our Christianity.

There are several things that can lead to “falling asleep”
-Fear
-Depression
-Insecurity
-Doubt
-Becoming comfortable in your current state of being

If you notice these are all tools that the enemy can use (if we are not ‘’awake and alert’’) to lead us to have a lack of passion for Christ and if we stay in that stagnant state long enough we will eventually step away from God completely. I heard somewhere once that ‘’People do not ‘’fall’’ away from God; they walk away one step at a time’’

So, how can one "wake" up?

We must hear and recognize the ‘’alarms’’ going off and desire to wake up. A good Example of this is when our literal alarms go off and we know it’s time to get/wake up but we hit the snooze button and don’t so we fall asleep again.
We must recognize those little internal battles (Red flags/Alarms/whatever you want to call them) of ‘’I should pray but, I’m not in the mood’’ or I should read my bible but I would rather watch TV, ETC. We must learn to discipline ourselves to recognize when it’s time to wake up by being sensitive to the alarms the Holy Spirit sets off in us. Much like how Elijah’s ‘’alarm’’ was an angel the Lord sent to wake him.

Now, once we’re ‘’Awake” How do we ''Stay Awake"?

We must eat get prepared for the journey. Much like how Elijah did (after two tries, but he finally got going) he woke up ate and drank (1Kings 19: 1-8) He Got up and got prepared. For the angel told him the journey was ‘’far too great’’ In other words if he wanted to reach the end (which that is our ultimate goal). We must not only ‘’wake up’’ but ‘’eat” to stay strong even when we don’t ‘’feel’’ like it. One way is to look at it as though we were trying to eat healthy. We know that it’s good for us but we’d rather eat junk food. We know that to be healthy we must eat the healthy stuff so that we can become strong. It’s just like eating your vegetables. You don’t always want to or ‘’feel’’ like it but you know you should. Those are the crucial moments in our everyday life that add up to a bigger picture in the end. We must first recognize what we need over what we want and go for that and eventually with God’s help we will begin to realize that the more we feed ourselves the good stuff the more you will start to crave it. It will develop into a passion for God.

We must prepare ourselves for the great journey God has placed us on and not get discouraged when we fall down and fail or grow tired (Which we will). We must use the strength that Christ has put in us to not get discouraged and Always be aware that our Walk with God is a vast and great Journey that He is walking with us the whole way through. Just call and He will answer. It’s not about how many times you fall (asleep), but about how many times you choose get (wake) up.

Hope. He IS Coming For Me.

Musical Muse : “C.S. Lewis Song” By Brooke Fraser

I’ve had this song in my head for a looong time (along with what seems like a million others) I feel like my brain’s a jukebox sometimes…lol. Anyways…

I always wondered how the title of this song applied to this song ‘till now. I did a little “googling” (it's funny how that’s become a verb now) action and found that the first verse of the song is a close paraphrase of a C.S. Lewis quote from the book Mere Christianity.

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."

This is the whole premise of the song. That we live in this world but we are not made for this world so we will hope and wait for the day of the Lord, which we are at the dawn of. I haven’t read the book personally but it’s on my list for sure now as this song is very dear to me. I feel this song embodies the way I feel lately. It absolutely hits the nail on the head for me. I feel as though the more I seek God the more I want to continue to know Him and seek Him. It expresses how one longs to be with the Lord, how nothing in the world satisfies, and how nothing can or will ever fill us like the Lord can. What a day that day will be; when Hope comes for me. :)

‘’I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope’’– Psalms 130:5

So, I exhort you to: “Taste and See the Lord is Good’’– Psalms 34:8. What have you got to lose? I assure you you’ll never be the same.

Hope it touches your heart as much as it did mine. You can follow along with the lyrics below if your not familiar with the song. God Bless :)

C.S. Lewis Song Lyrics
If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here
If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary,
then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared

[Chorus]
Speak to me in the light of the dawn
Mercy comes with the morning
I will sigh and with all creation groan as I wait for hope to come for me

Am I lost or just less found?
On the straight or on the roundabout of the wrong way?
Is this a soul that stirs in me, is it breaking free, wanting to come alive?
‘Cause my comfort would prefer for me to be numb
and avoid the impending birth of who I was born to become

[CHORUS]

[BRIDGE]
For we, we are not long here
Our time is but a breath, so we better breathe it
And I, I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know You
Hope is coming for me
Hope is coming for me
Hope is coming for me
Hope, He's coming

[CHORUS]
