His Banner over you was and always has been...love

This song has been rocking my world lately... love love love it. It reminds me of a quote I read a while back. I'm not sure who said it but it says...

"Trust Steadily, Hope Unswervingly, Love Extravagantly..."
May we all be so bold as to love like Jesus did.

"He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love"  - Song of Solomon 2:4

Smile

I could listen to this song on repeat forever...I absolutely love it. It's so simple yet, profound. It's quite magical.  It reminds me of my greatgrandfather and his love of singing. As a little girl I used to love going to his house and would often see him singing to my greatgrandma when was feeling romantic...which was probably all the time. It  was too cute.  When he wasn't seranading my grandma we would sit by his radio, enjoy his music....so peaceful...good times. :) Hope you enjoy Nat as much as I do.  He's a real gem.

Smile though you heart is breaking,

Smile even though its aching,

when there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by.. .

if you smile through your frear and sorrow

smile and maybe tommarrow you'll see the sun come shining through for you..

light up your face with gladness

hide every trace of sadness

although a tear may be ever so near

that the time you must keep on trying

smile, what's the use of crying?

you'll find that life is still worthwhle if you just smile...

Thats the time you must keep on trying

smile, what the use of crying?

youll find that life is still worth while if you just smile...

Joy To The World - Seabird

Musical Muse: Joy To The World
By Seabird

In the Spirit of Christmas I share one of my favorite arrangements of Joy to the World by one of my favorite bands-Seabird.  Check them out! They have some amazing music.  Hope you enjoy! Merry Merry Christmas to you and yours.  God bless!

If you can't see the video click HERE

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love

Phil Wickham - Heaven Song

Musical Muse: Phil Wickham-  Heaven Song

Here's another song I love from Mr.Wickham. I thought this acoustic version of Phil singing it is so sweet.  Enjoy! Godbless!

You wrote a letter and You signed your name
I read every word of it page by page
You said that You'd be coming, coming for me soon
Oh my God I'll be ready for You

I want to run on greener pastures
I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can't wait to join the angels and sing my heaven song

I hear Your voice and I catch my breath
'Well done my child, enter in and rest'
Tears of joy roll down my cheek
It's beautiful beyond my wildest dreams
I want to run on greener pastures

I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can't wait to join the angels and sing...

I want to run on greener pastures
I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can't wait to join the angels and sing
No, I cant wait to join the angels and sing my heaven song

Cielo

Musical Muse: Phil Wickham - Cielo

This is one of my new favorite songs of his.  There's just something about it that takes me to another place.  It makes me think about the glorious day when God comes back for us and we enter His presence.  How exciting!! :D  Makes me think how trivial everything of this world really is in comparison to God...wow.  Can you imagine?...if this is a human singing just imagine how beautiful the angels must sound...wow.  Enjoy! God bless!!

"Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
Sing to the LORD with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
With trumpets and the sound of a horn
Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King."- Psalm 98:4-6

I'm walking through the bright white gates
Breathing in and out your grace
All around me melodies rise
That echo with the joy inside
So I start to sing
But I can't sing loud enough
I can't sing loud enough
When I'm singing for You my God
I can't sing loud enough
I can't sing loud enough
When I'm singing for You my God
With a thunder roll and a brilliant light
Your glory boasts and the heavens shine
The saints and angels stand in awe
Captured by the beauty of it all
So I fall to my knees
But I can't bow low enough
I can't bow low enough
At the vision of You my God
I can't bow low enough
I can't bow low enough
At the vision of You my God
I can't hold it all inside
I'm reaching for the One who brought me out of death and into life
But I can't lift my hands high enough
Life my hands high enough
When I'm reaching for You my God
I can't lift my hands high enough
Life my hands high enough
When I'm reaching for You my God
Oh I'm reaching for You my God
I'm reaching for You
I'm reaching for You
I'm reaching for You my God

Phil Wickham Concert :)

Loved the lanterns and rugs on the stage...

A few weeks backs a couple of friends and I went to a Phil Wickham concert.  I had seen his brother Evan Wickham in concert before but I had never been to one of his.  I loved every minute of it.  I could hardly contain myself about being able to go see Phil Wickham live and worship God!  Phil was awesome.  It's so awesome to see how anointed he is.  Amazing.  The Lord moved so beautifully.  I love the feeling one gets when worshiping God.  There's nothing else like it; to experience that disconnect with the world and only have that direct connection with God...simply beautiful. He sang a good mix of songs from his older CD Cannons and his newer on Heaven & Earth.  I'll post up some of my favorite songs another time for you guys.  For now here are some pics of the night. Sorry for the blurryness...my camara was broken at the time so I could only take pics with my phone. God bless!

We had awesome seats :)
We took pictures "with" him...lol

Thumbs up!!
Thanks Phil you rocked!!!

Bread For The Broken

Musical Muse: Bread For The Broken
 By Dominic Balli

In light of my last post about Samaritan's Purse I thought this song was appropriate.  Not only for that instance but for always.  I absolutely love it.  It's so moving. Enjoy!

"Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do. There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need."- Deuteronomy 15: 10 & 11

Twenty million as they reach for hope
No one looks, no one cries
No one cares, so no one tries
I see children in the night

I met Dominic Balli at Flavor Fest 2010
10-10-10 :)
Chorus:
We need bread for the broken
Give some bread to the broken
We need hope for the hopeless
Give some hope to the hopeless, hopeless
Bread for the broken, broken

I see daughters in the fields
She sell her body for a dollar bill
No one looks, no one cries
No one cares, so no one tries
I see children in the night

Chorus
I cannot live my life daily knowing I am connected to you
So what am I to do
If I was in your shoes
I hope and pray that someone reach out to me and pull me from my blues
So won't you grab my hand baby, let me pull you to me
Let me see what I can do so you can be free
Let me grab your hand brother, let me help you now
Take this love from my heart and put this food in your mouth
And let me paint a picture of freedom
Let me paint the picture of healing
Let me paint the picture of humans through our loving and giving
We need bread

Hungry I Come...

Musical Muse: Joy Williams: Hungry (Falling On My Knees)

"Hungry I come to you for I know...You satisfy.  I am empty but I know Your LOVE does NOT run dry..."

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled" - Matthew 5:6

I had this song in my heart the other day.  As I kept thinking about it I couldn't help but think about what it is to "hunger" in the spirit.  I know that we're all familiar with physical hunger but I kept thinking that there has to be some people that don't realize that without God that ''Empty" feeling that does not go away is a spiritual hunger. As humans we can try to fill it with all sorts of other things (kids, a career, hobbies, possessions, friends, and anything else you can imagine) but we must realize that God put that hunger in us so, it can only be filed BY Him.  Only He can satisfy that hunger in us as He is the one who created us with it because we were made to worship Him.
"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near." - Isaiah 55:6

Hungry I come to You
For I know You Satisfy
I am empty but I know
Your Love does not run dry

So I'll wait for You
So I'll wait for You
I'm Falling on my knees
Offering all of me
Jesus You're all this heart
is living for.

Broken I run to You
For Your arms
are open wide
I am weary but I know
Your touch restores my life.

I'm falling on my knees
offering all of me
Jesus You're all this heart
is living for.

Hungry I come to You
For I know You satisfy
I am empty but I know
Your love does not run dry

My Desert Song

Musical Muse By: Hillsong United - Desert Song

"This is my prayer in the desert.  When all that's within me feels dry. All of my life; in every season; you are still God.  I have a reason to sing.  I have a reason to worship." That is so true. Regardless of what my circumstances are I still need to praise God because of the love I have for him because he loved me first.  He loved me when I was unlovable and continues to do so! That in it of itself is enough....so...I will keep singing!!!! :) Hope you're week's looking up!  God bless.

This is my prayer in the desert
when all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides

And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

And this is my prayer in the battle
when triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be empited again
The seed I've recieved I will sow

While I'm Waiting

Musical Muse:
"While I'm Waiting" By John Waller

I keep listening to this over and over...hoping and trusting in God.

Praying and holding on to this with every fiber of my being...

"Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world"- Psalm 46:10

 and

"Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:20 & 21

Because He knows...and I just have to do my part.

Psalm 40

I really wasn't planning on blogging today but the Lord had something else in mind.  It's funny because I woke up today the lyric from the song by Hillsong "Jesus the lover of My soul"(Listen Here)...I kept singing the part that says ''Jesus, the Lover of my soul, Jesus I will never let you go...you've taken me fromt the miry clay and set my feet upon the rock..."  I really didn't think much of it as I, more often than not, wake up with a song in my head.  (I know I've said it before but I really do feel sometimes that my brain is a juke box that just won't turn off...lol.) Anyways...lately I've been spending some time in the book of Psalms.  I've been feeling really encouraged in my walk with the Lord as I read the different triumphs and struggles that King David had in his walk with the Lord as he trusted in the Lord and reminded me to continue do so as well.  Even when it seems impossible.  I came across Psalm 40 this morning and I couldn't help but laugh because I could see that what I was reading was clearly greatly influemtial in the writing of the song that I had stuck in my head! The Lord put it in my heart as a reminder of the promises He's given me.  All I need do it is to wait patiently and trust in him.

"I waited patiently for the LORD;And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD."- Psalms 40:1-3

Read the whole chapter :) It's an absolutely beautiful piece of writing.  You can see how king David felt even with the powerful status that he had as king of Isreal.  He gives ALL the praise to the Lord for everything that he has and everything that the Lord has done for him and Everything that the Lord will do....think about it...evertyhing that the Lord will do...wow. Another reminder that the best is yet to come! How great is it to have that kind of faith in the Lord. To know and believe that He will take care of us regardless of what we do or comes our way... He is the absolute lover of our soul, our saviour, and precious friend.

I called, You Answered and came to my Rescue!

Musical Muse: Hillsong United - Came To My Rescue

I Need You More. More than words can say...

Musical Muse: "I Need You More'' -Kim Walker

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. This is definitely one of my top five worship songs.  It's so simple, yet is so powerful.  We sang this song at church a couple weeks back and the Lord moved in an AMAZING way!  His presence was so overwhelming.  It was just so beautiful and raw and...real.  I wanted to stay there forever and just delight in it.  The Lords presence really is LIFE to me. Everyday that passes I need Him more than I did the day before because relying on His will rather than trying to control my own requires Him…

Kim Walker - I Need You More

I need You more
More than yesterday

I need You Lord
More than words can say
I need You more
Than ever before
I need You Lord
I need You Lord

More than the air I breathe
More than the song I sing
More than the next heartbeat
More than anything
And Lord as time goes by
I'll be by Your side
Cause I never want to go back
To my old life

(12x)

We give You the highest praise

All our praise
All our love
Our adoration God
We give You all
We give You All

OH, How HE LOVES US!!!

Musical Muse - Kim Walker (Jesus Culture)
"How He Loves Us"

I absolutely LOVE this song. I cry everytime I hear it. It's just one of those songs for me. It just never ceases to amazing me HOW much the Lord LOVES us. How His love for us is like nothing else in the world. How he wants to have a realationship with us, inspite of our shortcomings But most of all is how once we encounter the love of God...truley encounter HIM...WE ARE NEVER THE SAME! Hope you enjoy! Godbless!

How He loves us - Lyrics

He is jealous for me
Love's like a hurricane,
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
and I realize just how beautiful You are and how great your affections are for me.

Oh, how He loves us so
Oh, how He loves us
How He loves us so.
(x2)

Yeah, He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves.
(x2)

We are His portion and
He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking
So heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
and my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way...

He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
OH, how He loves
(x2)

Yeah, He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Oh, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves.

Yeah, He loves us
He loves us
He loves us
He loves.

Yeah, He loves us
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves

He loves us,
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves us
Whoa, how He loves

Hope. He IS Coming For Me.

Musical Muse : “C.S. Lewis Song” By Brooke Fraser

I’ve had this song in my head for a looong time (along with what seems like a million others) I feel like my brain’s a jukebox sometimes…lol. Anyways…

I always wondered how the title of this song applied to this song ‘till now. I did a little “googling” (it's funny how that’s become a verb now) action and found that the first verse of the song is a close paraphrase of a C.S. Lewis quote from the book Mere Christianity.

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."

This is the whole premise of the song. That we live in this world but we are not made for this world so we will hope and wait for the day of the Lord, which we are at the dawn of. I haven’t read the book personally but it’s on my list for sure now as this song is very dear to me. I feel this song embodies the way I feel lately. It absolutely hits the nail on the head for me. I feel as though the more I seek God the more I want to continue to know Him and seek Him. It expresses how one longs to be with the Lord, how nothing in the world satisfies, and how nothing can or will ever fill us like the Lord can. What a day that day will be; when Hope comes for me. :)

‘’I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope’’– Psalms 130:5

So, I exhort you to: “Taste and See the Lord is Good’’– Psalms 34:8. What have you got to lose? I assure you you’ll never be the same.

Hope it touches your heart as much as it did mine. You can follow along with the lyrics below if your not familiar with the song. God Bless :)

C.S. Lewis Song Lyrics
If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here
If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary,
then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared

[Chorus]
Speak to me in the light of the dawn
Mercy comes with the morning
I will sigh and with all creation groan as I wait for hope to come for me

Am I lost or just less found?
On the straight or on the roundabout of the wrong way?
Is this a soul that stirs in me, is it breaking free, wanting to come alive?
‘Cause my comfort would prefer for me to be numb
and avoid the impending birth of who I was born to become

[CHORUS]

[BRIDGE]
For we, we are not long here
Our time is but a breath, so we better breathe it
And I, I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know You
Hope is coming for me
Hope is coming for me
Hope is coming for me
Hope, He's coming

[CHORUS]
